Why the Thesis Matters

In an excellent article from The Hill, Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) makes it clear why Bob McDonnell’s graduate school thesis is fair game in this election. Remember, it was the Republican Party that tried to stem Webb’s momentum in 2006 by bringing up the Senator’s own writing. But now Republicans are calling foul when Democrats borrow their own techniques. Whereas Webb’s semi-controversial writings were largely works of fiction, the same cannot be said for McDonnell’s thesis.
